Partner Organisations

Partner organisations are those groups who work alongside the Mill and share the aims and objectives of the charity. The Mill seeks to creatively use its resources and team to support each partner where most needed and on an individual basis.

If you would like to know how to become a Partner Organisation and benefit from the financial and practical support offered by the team at the Mill, please contact us on 802900 to arrange a preliminary meeting to discuss your plans and ideas.

    UNESCO BIOSPHERE

What does it mean for the Isle of Man?:

Our Biosphere status encourages us to learn about and cherish what we have in the Isle of Man and safeguard it for the future by making good decisions, as individuals, as organisations and as an Island.

It encourages us all to think about the way we live our lives and the impact that has on sustainability.

It tells potential new residents and visitors that we are a special place for people and nature and are committed to remaining so.

  • Acorn

    Acorn Christian Healing Foundation

For over 30 years Acorn has been helping churches to bring healing and wholeness to people and communities. Acorn provides people, regardless of their circumstances, background or life choices, with the opportunity to experience the "shalom" (peace) that is at the heart of the Christian message.

Services are held monthly at The Mill and are open to anyone, whether you have a faith or not. It is usually a low-key, contemplative style of prayer for healing, wholeness and reconcilliation in areas of illness and relationships. For services at The Mill see http://www.stjohnsmill.com/events or for more information on the Acorn Foundation see http://www.acornchristian.org/

Our purpose for existence is to bring faith within reach for every child and young person on the Island. SUMT connects in with local churches, primary and secondary education, and has established a gap year programme for emerging leaders. Our organisation is a registered Manx charity with a strong leadership team of Trustees, an executive body, paid staff, and a raft of fantastic volunteers - full time and part time. We run the Life Path for primary school students, Beach Mission for all U18s, plus many more activities throughout the year.

The SUMT gap year is a year of opportunity - a year of personal development as well as a year of service. A fully funded year in partnership with local churches.
