Isle of Man Heritage Open DayCategory: Open to the Public Host: St John's Mill
St John's Mill is a historic building which we believe is one of the island's earliest industrial buildings dating back in part to the 18th century. It started as a fulling Mill and still retains the original fulling stocks installed in 1816 and a magnificent water wheel which was restored a few years ago and is now in full running order. Historically the wheel provided the power for the looms and other textile processes for over 150 years.
Come along to the Mill and see demonstrations from weavers and spinners and also have a tour of the the Mill to learn about the history of this fascinating and historic building.
